Elegant and timeless, the General Morgan Inn is the perfect storybook wedding destination. Our beautiful venues can accommodate 40 to 300 guests for the most intimate and extravagant weddings. You write the story for your wedding, and we’ll bring it to life.

The General Morgan Inn is a privately-owned, independent hotel catering to the needs of the guest. Our 51 beautiful guest rooms and suite are located in the heart of Downtown Greeneville’s Historic District. We’ll help you capture the big-time spirit of small-town America for your special day.

What else?

“Taxes and gratuity?”
Calculated after the menu is selected, not included in the $1,500 or $2,000

“Preferred or required vendors?”
We do require that you cater through us and our restaurant,Brumley’s, and we can provide a list of vendors we highly recommend upon request.

“Parking?”
We have a private parking lot as well as street parking available. Upon request, we would be more than happy to direct you to the best street parking and overflow parking locations.

“Extra cost for ceremony?”
You may rent both the Terrace and the Ballroom for a combined fee of $2,000 to use one venue as your ceremony location and the other as your reception location.

“Liquor license?”
We got it; don’t worry about it. 🙂

“Event time?”
We provide 7 hours of event and decoration time (most commonly used: 2 hours for decoration, 5 hours for event) included in your initial facility charge. You may extend your time for $100 per additional hour. However, the Town of Greeneville mandates that the end time is no later than 11 PM.

“Require event insurance?”
Nope. 🙂

“Assign an event coordinator the day of?”
You will meet your event coordinator prior to your wedding day when we confirm all your details.

“How do you require payment?”
We require a down-payment equal to your facility charge, and the remaining balance is required 24 hours before your event takes place.

“Deposit?”
We do not require a deposit, however, we do require a down-payment equal to your facility charge.

My band the Beaters played a wedding reception on June 14 at the General Morgan Inn..Everyone had such a wonderful time..We’ve played events all over the Southeast in our 19 years together. Yet never before have we’ve been treated with such hospitality..Everyone on the staff was eager to help us in anyway to make the reception a success..Trust me…this is an exception..The band is often ignored and left to fend for themselves..but not here….I hope we have the opportunity to entertain in your beautiful Hotel again..and..no doubt…the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on…Salute to everyone at the Inn!

My daughter was married on the beautiful terrace at The General Morgan Inn on Saturday, June 7, 2014. We had the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception at this facility. I cannot imagine how anything could have been more perfect.
