“Old things are better than new things, because they’ve got stories to tell.” ~ Kami Garcia
Antiques either have sentimental value or hold significant historical value. While antiquing was mostly thought of as something our parents did, it is becoming more and more popular with younger generations. Whether it’s fashion, furniture, decor for the home, old signage, a vintage camera collection, or a DIY restoration project, there is something charming and unique about antiques.
Whether you are new to antiquing, are seasoned, or have a family heirloom you have always wanted to have apprised, you are in luck! The 11th annual Antique Appraisal Fair & Show is March 23rd at Greeneville High School. This amazing show features more than 40 top antique dealers from the across the country, who knows, you might find something that will become a family heirloom! In addition to all the vintage treasures, four certified appraisers will be on hand to assess the value of antiques brought in by the public. This is your chance to find out what that special antique is really worth besides the obvious sentimental value. Knowing what something is worth is important if you are trying to price the item for sale, are seeking insurance coverage, are thinking about donating the item for a charitable event, or just want to satisfy your own curiosity. Admission is FREE and appraisals are just $5 each. The event will also feature live music, refreshments, antique shopping, and more!
